Patty Elnicky attended the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor as a viola performance major and graduated with a BA in Music and Psychology. While at U of M, Patty performed with the Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Gustav Meier and sang in the Women’s Glee Club and the a cappella octet, “The Harmonettes”. Patty has performed with numerous Michigan community orchestras and was a member of the Detroit area vocal trio, “The Satin Dolls”.

After receiving her BA and working in sales and customer service, Patty returned to college at Oakland University in Rochester and completed her music education courses to receive her Michigan teacher certification. From 2001 – 2021, Patty taught music, including 2nd - 8th grade string orchestra, K-8 general music, and middle school choir. She also taught private violin and viola lessons to students of all ages and ability levels. Patty retired from teaching in the spring of 2021 and then joined the amazing staff at Luck’s Music Library.
