| Description: This arrangement of 'Scheherazade' offers students a musical 'short story' of the original (under 5 minutes in duration). The major themes of the orchestral suite are included without the long, complex development sections. There Is a dramtic flow from the opening 'allegro frenetico' into the famous lyrical tune of the 3rd movement and then to the exciting conclusion. The grade level is only 2.5 but the dramatic effect seems much more difficult and mature. This would be a great piece for festival. |
