| Description: Originally written in the late 18th century by Oliver Holden and also known as the hymn 'All hail The Power of Jesus'' Name', this majestic work features four variations of the main coronation theme with corresponding introductions. Rhythmic independence and precision is required of all sections, and first violins, cellos and basses are scored beyond first position. Three rapid tempo changes near the end lead to a dramatic finish. Keys of G and C major. |
