| Description: Originally conceived as a concert-opening fanfare for winds, the piece derives its framework from the opening motive that is developed using several techniques throughout the work. Following the introduction, a tranquil melody is introduced and exchanged within the ensemble. A short imitative section follows and builds to a broad restatement of the primary theme and a triumphant finish. |
