| Description: Crown of Aragon is a haunting, but stately pavanne in the Renaissance style. Young students will experience ABA style in the keys of d minor and F Major. Care has been taken to avoid all low first fingers, but low second fingers will be used throughout. The middle section features lower string melodies on the C string for viola and cello, and into third position briefly for bass. The alternating between arco and pizzicato not only helps with dynamic contrast, but creates a unique texture when accompanied with the optional triangle and hand drum. |
