ROBERT LONGFIELD

Robert Longfield is an award-winning composer, conductor, arranger, and educator. Mr. Longfield has earned degrees from the University of Michigan and the University of Miami. His teachers include Jerry Bilik and Dr. Alfred Reed.

Mr. Longfield has been a band and orchestra director for over 40 years in the schools of Michigan and Florida. He is also the conductor of the Grater Miami Symphonic Band. Mr. Longfield is the recipient of the "Teacher of the Year" award from the Michigan School Band and Orchestra Association and the "Mr. Holland Award" from the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences.

A member of ASCAP, Mr. Longfield has received numerous commissions and has over 300 publications to his credit. His compositions and arrangements have been played and recorded by bands and orchestras throughout the United States as well as in Europe and Japan.
